Hello Everyone! My name is Alexis Houser and I am the reigning Miss Fulton County 2022. I was born and raised in Johnstown, NY where I graduated from high school in 2019. After high school, I began to pursue a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Fulton Montgomery Community College and then continued my journey at the University of Albany. I will be graduating with my degree in May 2022, completely debt-free thanks to organizations like this one! My plan after that is to continue into graduate school and obtain a master’s degree in education, with hopes of becoming a special education teacher. Speaking of that, I am currently a teaching assistant at Milton Terrace Elementary School where I work in a 4th and 5th grade special education room. I love learning, helping others, and working with children which makes this job the perfect fit for me.

Throughout my year of service, I will strive to give back to Fulton County as well as further my social impact initiative, Grow Gold: Their Fight is My Fight. This focuses on increasing awareness of pediatric cancer, its effects on the family of a child battling with cancer, and how to support them financially and emotionally throughout. I will also get to perform my talent, tap dance, on the Miss New York stage which is something I am so excited for. I have been dancing since the age of 3 at High Performance Dance Center and have a passion for it.

Outside of work, school, and titleholder duties, you can find me spending time outside. I love to hike, be on the lake, ski, kayak, spend time at dirt bike tracks, hunt, and anything else you can possibly think of! I am also recently a new dog mom to the cutest English bulldog, Dilla. I also love drinking coffee, working out at the gym, shopping, and being with my family.
